What happens when you don’t get what you were (falsely) promised?

What happens when a man who promised to “fundamentally transform” America succeeds in only making things WORSE for a key group of supporters? What happens when a group of people who’ve been told their whole lives that they’re victims and that someone else is to blame for their troubles decides to punish their (alleged) persecutors?

Jack Cashill looks into that abyss, and the view from there is frightening indeed

Both (L.A. policeman/spree killer) Dorner and (Navy Dockyard killer) Alexis were mentally unbalanced. In a different time and place they might have blamed themselves, their lovers, or their parents for the demons that haunted them, but the two came of age in what might be called the post-Roots era. From the beginning, they have always had a way to account for their misfortunes that spared them introspection.

I’ve wondered before if the disintegration of the “blue model” of cradle-to-grave government might lead to violence

Societal change on this level is never easy: History is littered with riotsassassinationsand revolutions as societies move from one social model to the next, and unfortunately, I don’t see the change from the blue social model to be any less disruptive.

If anything, it may be worse than ever before.

The Blue Social Model relies on the infantilization of its subjects: We don’t call big government the “Nanny state” for nothing, and cradle-t0-grave government care turns adults into children.

The Blue Social Model also relies on the racial injustice that started to change 1963 to have stopped changing in 1963 and continue unabated to this day. The Blue Social Model needs people to believe that their problems are the result of Emmanuel Goldstein, not the system itself. The system CANNOT be wrong in the Blue Social Model because the adult children who live in it are taught to trust government as one would trust family.

After all, Chris Rock didn’t call Obama “The Dad of our country” for no reason.

So what happens when people outside of the family of big government are seen as less-than-human? What happens when people who realize what they’ve been promised is a lie, and has been a lie since 1932? Are they going to take what they want and make others pay for the lies they’ve been told?

God, I hope not. I love the United States, I’m here by choice. I want it to succeed and prosper and have my kids grow up in a land of liberty.

But I am worried that the adolescence of the nanny-state’s children might be laced with some epic temper tantrums.

Video ain’t gonna kill THIS radio star.

I realized this morning that over the new few weeks, I’ll be hitting the trifecta of center/right radio in the Phoenix area.

This Sunday I’m going to tweeting/working the “Ask A Jew” event at Scottsdale Bible Church this Sunday for KKNT radio (look for my stuff with the “#askajew” hashtag).

Then in a couple of weeks, it’s the As-Yet-Unamed-Blogger Show on KFYI, and on Sunday the 6th, I’ll be on KFNX with Kate Krueger Talking Guns, talking about, well, guns and competition shooting.

Now somebody fetch me a latte. I’ll be in my trailer.

The sad legacy of the Navy Yard Shooting

Allen West is 100% correct here: We’ve just sent out a message to terrorists around the world that if they want to kill American servicemen, the place to do it isn’t Kandahar, it’s Kansas.

Nuestro Grito

Want to solve the problem of illegal immigration? Help Latin America solve it’s problems, and the problem will solve itself.

I hope that one day, everyone south of me will be able to enjoy the blessings of life, liberty and the pursuit of Sofia Vergara.

Hey, you define “happiness” your way, and I’ll define it my way, ok? 😀

People don’t want to play a losing game.

What’s a self-righteous global warming alarmist supposed to do? Why can’t they find some Republican legislators who are willing to sell out the prosperity of the country, just for the sake of a few computer-created projections?

“… climate activists (are) sending people to GOP lawmakers’ district offices during the August recess, running ads lambasting “climate change deniers” in Congress and pushing to make global warming a decisive issue in the 2014 and 2016 elections.

…

The activists stress, however, that this is a long-term strategy. They’re thinking in terms of years, not months.

Some greens have a wish list for the kind of Republican they’d want to see joining their team — someone like Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie or former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush. But several liberals said the transformative figure they’re looking for may not be on anybody’s radar yet.

“I think it’ll be a surprise,” one key official on the lookout for green-minded Republicans said. “I think it’ll be one of the names we’re not talking about.”

Well, there is a surprise in-store for the true believers in man-made global warming, and it’s not one they’ll like. Those computer models that the faithful have believed in ever since Saint Gore wrote them into Holy Scripture back in 2006?

Turns out they’re a load of hooey

A leaked copy of the world’s most authoritative climate study reveals scientific forecasts of imminent doom were drastically wrong.

The Mail on Sunday has obtained the final draft of a report to be published later this month by the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the ultimate watchdog whose massive, six-yearly ‘assessments’ are accepted by environmentalists, politicians and experts as the gospel of climate science.

They are cited worldwide to justify swingeing fossil fuel taxes and subsidies for ‘renewable’ energy.

Yet the leaked report makes the extraordinary concession that the world has been warming at only just over half the rate claimed by the IPCC in its last assessment,  published in 2007.

Back then, it said that the planet was warming at a rate of 0.2C every decade – a figure it claimed was in line with the forecasts made by computer climate models.

But the new report says the true figure since 1951 has been only 0.12C per decade – a rate far below even the lowest computer prediction.

And that polar ice cap that was retreating faster than a battalion of French infantry? Turns out  the ice cap is, in fact, growing faster than the national debt

2007 prediction that summer in the North Pole could be “ice-free by 2013” that was cited by former Vice President Al Gore in his Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech has proven to be off… by 920,000 square miles.

In his Dec. 10, 2007 “Earth has a fever” speech, Gore referred to a prediction by U.S. climate scientist Wieslaw Maslowski that the Arctic’s summer ice could “completely disappear” by 2013 due to global warming caused by carbon emissions.

However, instead of completely melting away, the polar icecap is at now at its highest level for this time of year since 2006.

But what about the polar bears? Those cute little fuzzy-wuzzy critters who frolic in the Arctic all year long, eating free-range humans and are threatened with extinction by global warming? Turns out they’re doing better than ever

There are far more polar bears alive today than there were 40 years ago,” author Zac Unger told NPR in an interview about his new book, “Never Look a Polar Bear in The Eye.” “There are about 25,000 polar bears alive today worldwide. In 1973, there was a global hunting ban. So once hunting was dramatically reduced, the population exploded.”

Additionally, a report from earlier this year found that polar bear populations in the area between Greenland and Canada may have reached the limits of what their natural environment can handle.

Here’s handy tip: Whatever side of the argument Al Gore is on, pick the opposite and you’ll do just fine.

Public Service Message

A word of warning: With the anniversary of  9/11 approaching and more attacks by jihadists on our embassies a distinct possibility, if you’ve done a video or blog post in the past year that criticizes Islam, better pull it down now, lest you get blamed for the jihadist’s attacks and be arrested by your own government.
