Instead of singing "We Got The Beat" these ILLEGALS sing "We Got The Trail" on a daily basis - www.BorderInvasionPics.com
It's more of a "We Got You Beat" type of song, I guess.

Re: Now Arizona will buckle.
Err... Lilith Fair your missing a word in your comment, "in protest of the new immigration law in ARIZONA."
The word is illegal, and in "the new illegal immigration law".
When will the left and their useful idiots, learn the difference between legal and illegal immigration. Jeeze!!!!

Re: Now Arizona will buckle.
Actually, if you think about it, it makes sense for Ms Carlisle to do this.
Given her audience is now just about ONLY the Lilith Faire type people, she has to play to her base, and if she appeared, it might upset them, so she cancels, and gets some good publicity among her base.
Not that it makes a lot of sense otherwise, or that it it affect anything bigger than that, just smart marketing on her part based upon her fan base

Re: Now Arizona will buckle.
"...Carlisle posted her objections to the Phoenix gig on Facebook...", and when AZ retaliates by not delivering their green electrons down the special wires feeding into her computer (and the hosting datacenter) [presumably she's in CA where they've outlawed generation of power via productive means], will she stand fast?

Also, since we now know that Belinda Carlisle wants us to look the other and NOT enforce immigration laws, can I assume that she wants the Recording Association to look the other way in regards to music piracy?

I had to look the name up on Google, because I'd never heard of it. I'm sure that both of the fans in Arizona will be crushed that the concert is canceled.

Re: Now Arizona will buckle.
Maybe Lilith Fair should also boycott California, since the Sec. 834 (b) of the California Penal Code is almost identical to the AZ law (I bet nobody in CA even knows this, because the law is not enforced there).

Belinda Carlisle has 5,589 facebook fans, so maybe her real problem was that the venue was too damn big.

How about if the state offered to let each artist assume responsibility for 10 illegal aliens?

Austin, Arizona in the summer is a foretaste of Hell. You will want to run from one air-conditioned building to the next. If you are outside and not peeing you are not drinking enough water. Interesting places to visit are the Desert Museum in Tucson, Kitt Peak National Optical Observatory, and the Anthropology Museum on the U of Arizona campus in Tucson. Flagstaff, in the nroth, is much cooler and the area around it more wooded.

Re: Now Arizona will buckle.
I thought she was cute when the Go Gos were going. When she sprang into being as Belinda Carlisle and lost the baby fat, gorgeous.
Intellectually.....who cares, I mean seriously gorgeous girl. Nice voice.
Politics, War, Religion? treat her just like the mentally deranged girl screaming her heart out under the I5 overpass in Sacramento. Good looking, mentally deranged.

You are most certainly welcome in AZ
OK all you'all, here's the deal.
Please feel free to visit our home state anytime. But, in the late spring, summer, and early fall come on up to Prescott. It has plenty of events. And it's 5,400 elevation. Catch the temperature in PHX. We will be 20 degrees cooler in the summertime.
We got mountains. And BIG evergreen trees. Sorry, the gold is all gone.
Finally, we got Whiskey Row, on the west side of the Courthouse Square.
All you'll come, you hear !

Re: Now Arizona will buckle.
It's time to let Ms. Carlisle, and all others like her, that WE WILL NO BOYCOTT THEM! Email your views to her / Go-go's Facebook, Twitter, My Space accounts and let them know that we will no longer be attending their concerts. If we don't inform every liberal that threatens stupid action, such as this, they win because you have done nothing to let them know that there is a price to pay. Ms. Carlisle and the Go-Go's need use more then we need another washed-up girl band.
